Yes, you and ''Get Some Adventure'' are right! I use hid lights. I will take some picture to show you where I install them.

I've converted one of my headlamps to HID (LHS) recently though due to inclement weather I haven't been able to test it. Plan on taking it out tonight to check. Static it looks like the same which is not what I'd experienced on other aftermarket HiD swaps . I'm using a 35Watt short H7 hid bulb so not sure if its ideally located in the focal point of the projector lamp. I have a long H7 HID which I may fit to the other lamp for comparo purposes.

From the manual. Page 3-9

For the U.K. only: To switch the speedometer and odometer/trip- meter/fuel consumption displays between kilometers and miles, press the left button for at least two seconds.

And here's mine fresh (*) from the dealer:

(*) fresh because I had to come back UNDER THE FREAGING SNOW
No big deal, came back without sweating (just a dribble at the crotch ).

I turned it into a "monoposto" version for the time being

Thanks, can't wait to put proper km on it, but it's going to stay in the garage while I'm away for christmas holidays.
How frustrating is it

... especially for the poor souls waiting for it in the US of A for a few more months

Hi neighbour I'm living in the snow to, near you in Vernouillet (78) FRANCE Very nice in black.

Je vais acheter la 1200 très bientôt et surement en noir (j'hésite encore légèrement avec la bleu). Tu l'as acheté où ? (conflans ?). Sur la photo on a l'impression que tu as retité le cache pot. As-tu d'autres photos ?

Regards.

I understand that Yamaha do not reccomend using the panniers and top case together. Its a bit cheeky that they show the bike with both.
