FrontierCat Madstad Bracket Mod

Imitation and flattery and all that. Simple and rock solid. Stabilized the wind screen and the GPS and all that fun stuff.

Thumb Front fender width

Could I please get a little help from one of you guys? I am building a custom gravel runner/ scrambler and I would like to use a Super tenere front fender . Can I get someone to shoot me a measurement on the space between the front fork tubes where the fender would fit? Thanks in advance,
Jim m.

Did you have the panniers painted?
Thanks for your comments, the panniers and top box are the black ones from the factory.

Checked out your pics, some amazing shots....

You wouldn't happen to have shot of your bike from the front, would you? Trying to see how easy it'd be to mount driving lights to the Givi engine guards.

It looks to be about 9 inches between the mounting brackets. I'm in SLC too if you
need to look at it.

Thanks Pluric.... The bike is a late '80's BMW k100-I only have about 5.5 inches between fork tubes(might work). Looks like plan B. By the way ,we may have an old friend in common . Stan Zedek?

thanks again for the effort.

About 6 inches between the lower fork tubes. (More in my range. The 9 inch was quite a stretch)

Stan? Maybe, I only have two kids and struggle remembering their names.

Testing if anything bursts into flames or melts on the plate. You should see them if you are loading it down in sand.

Have you ever seen a bunch of big bikes working hard through sand at night.?

Very pretty. Same as disk brakes working hard at night.

You just don't notice it in daylight.
