Thanks Krussell! I did actually ride it 1200 miles round trip!
One of the blessings of living in a dry climate is that our motorcycles have a fairly easy life. I used to live in the Pacific Northwest and although I don't miss the wet climate - I do miss the beauty of your State.
Thanks for the awesome Oregon photos!
I may ride from Texas to Washington State next year and I promise my bike will be dirty.

We Americans thinking that Japan is all about Tokyo is the equivalent of thinking that all of America is like Times Square in New York City.

I've seen a bunch of dual sport and full dirt bikes around here but nothing as big as the Tenere.

Bit cold where you are now for riding in the mountains this time of the year, which likely explains the absence of the bigger bikes, but there are some fantastic roads in Tohoku, and that's pretty much the case everywhere in Japan's countryside. Give me a shout next time you come if you feel like doing some touring.
