Well, I prudently decided NOT to turn right and that was a good idea because the small tarred road turned in to a nice gravel road along the Spanish border. I love the green of mountain spring grass...
![]() I love my S10 but, whatever the bike, most of the fun comes from the place where you are riding.

My Black Pearl or 'Black Sheep'?
Last weekend ride from Santiago, Chile to San Juan, Argentina with a dozen BMW 1200 R,, a couple of Suzuki VStrom 1000, one Honda Transalp and one Kawa KLE650 ... just one Black Sheep Yamaha XT1200Z waiting for the rest to shut off the ABS .. lol
![]() hurry up guys ... ![]() the whole bunch ![]() The Black Pearl performed excellent and was a pleasure to ride loaded with a Giant Loop Great Basin on the passenger seat, a small tank bag attached to the Bagster tank cover and the extra fuel container loaded with 2 gallons of 95 octane, just to test it in bad road conditions. Cheers, Roberto |

A few observations.. 1) Great place, I'm just a wee bit jealous. No matter what I am riding ![]() 2) The sheep are behind the Tenere. It's just a sad photo. In Australia that Tenere would be described as the "sheep dog". You can sense the fear on their faces ![]() very similar to this..

"Fail is here" is what I read the first time I saw your post. What fail? That's beautiful! So I search the pic for this one obvious detail that I must be missing... Oh, fall. OK, all is good with the world and I can go back to my regular green-with-envy state. I just came from the "Killboy fail" thread, so I guess my mind was primed to expect something different than what you wrote. |

Went over to Idaho today. Found a little mud and learned the stock Metz tires are not too bad in it if you take it easy.
