Sierra Foothill Ride Nov 2nd

Looks like all the stars have aligned and there is good weather coming. I have been waiting for 2 months to go do this ride. There has been something that has caused the ride not to happen. Rain, bridge closed, trying to scheduling for free weekends, etc. So it's looking like Tue the 2nd (not a weekend but it is good weather) will have high's in the low 70's. It's rained, so no dust on the dirt sections, it will be in the middle 50's at 8am and creeping up to the low 70's during the day. The Mosquito Ridge Rd. bridge has re-opened. All systems go.
Going to haul up my bike to Brownsville/Challange, spend Monday night at my place, start the ride Tue morning and head for Placerville by way of North San Juan, Colfax, Foresthill, French Medows Reservoir, 11 pines road, Mosquito Ridge Rd.
Depending on time, may spend the night in Placerville and ride back to Brownsville on Wed. If time allows, I'll just make it a big loop!
If there is any interest in joining me, let me know.

Hope to take pictures.

Oh well, keep working you guy's I need my Social Security Check to buy gas, bike parts, motocycle registration, etc. you know how expensive it is to go riding every couple days just after it's rained and the sun has come out and the riding coditions are perfect. LOL

What time are you coming through Nevada City? I could hook up and cruise along with you for a bit. I have to work at 1:30.

Thanks for a good ride LaPorte. Wish I could have finished it with you. Was a great way to start the day. Hope you fully enjoyed the beautiful weather and fun route. Please post a report on the rest of the ride.

Hey guys!
I know this thread is a little old, but I just bought my 1st dual sport (big bike, R1200GS), and would love to meet up with some others to start getting out on some dirt roads. Let me know if you are planning anything!

Good morning guys

Finally getting myself relocated to Magalia and am looking forward to connecting with somebody for some rides this year after I get settled in. My riding partner, Lionsroarr was up helping me move some stuff and brought his bike. Took a ride over Jordon Hill Road down into Concow and on up around Cherokee last Sunday. Nice short ride but good to get on the bike.
