I'm in

2006 Electra Glide standard, I have had it about a month now and it has already changed appearance from this 3 week old pic. I went from DR650 to this and loving every minute of it so far.

Well now since I've been an HD owner for 3 weeks and 300 miles I guess I ought to post.

Finally got the plate on and the copsickle inspected yesterday. Did about 300 miles of warmup in 2 shortened days. Not quite IBA territory but it sure was all smiles.

Looking forward to many more smiles.

Do your posterior a BIG favor, and invest in a Mustang seat for the sporty.
Harley factory seats become rocks in a very short time of riding.

Here's a visual. Not my bike, just one saved to my inspiration folder. I plan on having a tad more seat than that, but you get the idea. Form over function.

Got to love the riding gear also flag on helmet backwards (shame on him) , on the rear it looks like he took the springs & covers off the stock shocks & let them bottom out (ask the wife how she feels after a long ride on something like that) I`d say change the pipes & leave the rest stock , as yours is a nice looking bike.

Congrats on the new bike man. Your line of thinking seems open minded and centered around just enjoying the fact that you are on a bike...That doesn't always go over so well on ADVR. I am sure that the weight will come down if you hardtail it and ditch other unnecessary items. Have fun with the build process and post pics of your progress....Maybe in the Go Sportsters thread.

It's correct if you're in agreement with military standards, which have the flag worn on the right side as moving forward, flying in the breeze.

Too bad they don't come totally without chrome, anymore. I saw a restored 60s NYS police bike , everything was black except the tanks and fenders which were dark blue with yellow lettering.

They had a few police bikes at the HD museum including a few servi-cars. They had cop bikes from the 20's up through 1984. Most of the older ones had no chrome, the only "shine" was any aluminum part and occasionally the spokes. The '54 FLE cop bike appears to have the siren driven by a shaft/sprocket that engaged to the drive chain by a foot control. . The 84 FXRP (labeled unrestored) was pretty similar chrome-wise to my RK.
