this is my 64 XLH. well, the motor is, the rest is just stuff I made fit.
Not many jockey shift sporties out there :)
the tank I made by combining a 50's Hummer tank with a king sporty tank (ignition switch in the tank)
planned upgrades include rear disc brakes & a 17" rear wheel so I can run a gripster to match the front. I love the way dual sport tires look.
Its alot of fun to ride, & it gets ridden alot.

Not my own Harley but a test bike I got to borrow for a few days. Was a nice ride.

Howdy

Hi all. Newbie just joined. Took a test ride on a 05.5 950 Adventure today. Black, cannot handle that orange myself. Told myself I'd sleep on it to see if it still makes sense in the morning (right). Here's my current scoot at Bear Glacier after comming down the Casiar last summer. 98FXSTC

Apologies for the pic

Sorry about the pic. Not much on photo editing I'm afraid.

Cool pic! How do you like the SAC sissybar bag? I got one myself but haven't used it yet.

SAC Tail Pack

It's great. I've had it for several years now. Fading a bit from the sun but it's never leaked on me yet and it got a test on the Yukon/Alaska trip. Sometimes wish I had the backpack like straps that some T-bags have as it can be awkward to lug into a walk in campground but I've never been sure how well those worked anyway. I have the small one too that's good for overnighters but don't use it much. They clip together so you can use them both but I've only done that once, it's just too much.

My FXDXI - '05 model with 1550cc/95cu" big bore plus SE204 cams & V&H 2:1 also cleaned up and ported heads. She goes pretty damn well - and is pretty damn loud too.

Thanks.

Yup, you're not wrong on the noise thing - the loud pipe certainly gets me & the bike noticed, it's been a life-saver at times.

Great thing is, even though the pipe barks like a Howitzer, I've never had a single person complain about it. On several occasions I've even had non-bikers say 'hey...that bike just sounds totally awesome!'

Makes the heart swell I tell you.
