It will easily cruise at highway speed and likes to play in the dirt too!

I'm the second owner of the bike and it is 99% original. The gas tank and fenders were re-painted once and the mufflers are reproductions. since she is so nice, I'm currently working on turning another old XLCH into an enduro to really tear up the back roads!

Here is my other Harley, a 1978 FX1200 Superglide. It is also mostly original, I'm the second ownerof this bike too, and she only has 9,200 miles (she only had 7,000 miles on her when I got her last year). The FX models are also kickstart only, but came with a small battery and 'normal' charging system to run your lights and accessories. The tail light, exhaust, and tank bades are all that have been changed.
Sweet.
My first Harley was a 69 XLH. It was orange, too (originally). Bought it in 1976, sold it in 1997.

South of Sedona a couple of weeks back. Nice day's ride - 400 miles on the nose.

Just stumbled on this thread...

My 1984 FXRS... Mostly all original except for the Streetglide seat & shorty backrest. My father in law bought this bike new in 1984, it sat for 11 years until 3 years ago when my wife and I rescued it started riding it. I have been slowly taking care of some issues the past couple off seasons including new chain & sprockets, stripping the peeling chrome from the primary cover and polishing the aluminum, etc.

This was the first year for the Evo engine and the last 1/2 year of chain final drive mid 84 on started the belt drive.

This is how she sat in the garage for 11 years...

Right after the first wash finally in the light...

Thanks guys...

I have more plans for her in this coming off season. Top of the list is a set of HD "Sport" forks with the adjustable dampening and a fork brace as well as the dual front discs that go with that set up. Possibly a set of dampening adjustable rear shocks also. Trying to build the bike that I think Erik Buell was trying to make it.

Luv'n my '11 Softail Deluxe more and more with every ride. Got her a year ago this weekend.

Silly fun wearing the Vanson Dave Aldana replica suit. A good friend painted the matching helmet.

Warmest regards from way up north, Mark H.

Sitting outside at the deli during lunch the other day, looking at the bike just sitting there parked in front of me, took the cam out and took a pic...

Then on the way home, a pause with the sun finding gaps through the trees...
