Huge congrats on the new FXD. I almost bought a used FXDX-T instead of my Sportster. If I ever sell the Sporty, a Dyna (of some flavor or another) would be my next choice. Enjoy!

I always wish people luck with new purchases....

My pipes are Vance and Hines Short Shots hit with rattle can B-B-Q black....with the baffles they're not too loud (by my standards, anyway)

Did ya prep 'em at all or just spray? I've got a new can of BBQ black in the garage...

I rubbed the hell outta them with varying grits of emery til my arms were good an sore....I'm constantly touching them up....I'm seriously anti-glam....

I don't like chrome. My bike will be slowly transformed into the non-chrome FXD. I wonder if a good sandblasting would rough the chrome enough... Every thing should be fairly easy excpt for the forks.

Here's mine ,it's a 1998 flsts heritage springer annaversery edition.I pulled this picture off the net but i have the same exact bike with 10,000 miles.I bought it new in 98.I might sell it in a couple of months as my have got into sport/touring.WE will see
