You are right,i think,they dont bash us as much. I ,for one,am making a effort to stop my own hd bashing. My rding buddy is on a 07 roadglide .For me,its not the bikes,its the loud pipes and the badass attitude many (not all) display .I am starting to like the roadkings and roadglides,but i just dont find them that comfortable to ride.Also,keep in mind much of this bashing is done in jest,i kid my buddy all the time,he kids me about my bmw.the thing is,we like to ride together,his hd buddys dont like to ride as much as he does. Hes got 13000 miles on an 07,the shop is amazed. The thing i kid him most about is his switching from a ff helmet to a beanie once he bought his hd. Oh well,at least he wears a helmet and protective gear most of the time.I think the barstool biker thing may be going away a little,im not sure. Alot of hd riders,and people in general come up to us and want to talk about my bike,i have not really run into any hostile hd bikers yet.I will ride with anyone,on any bike whether its american,european or japanese as long as its not too loud.So,in my opinion if the loud pipes and bad ass attitude would go away,so would most of the hd bashing,i think. Anyone agree?

I Finally got a the HD I have wanted.
promptly took it on a road trip and vibrated off 3 parts, crashed once and got lost twice.....What a great ride.

I recommend blue loctite, a GPS and a full face helmet. You'll be good to go.


Hope you didn't really need those three parts... But the good news is that whatver they were, you can replace them at one of the myriad roadside bouitiques (disguised as HD dealers), located alongside a major freeway in every large town in the USA.

Unless you have a V-Rod, they no longer seem to carry parts for them.
