Electra Glide Standard

My new Electra Glide Standard. The standard EG seems a little underrepresented [most seem to go for the Ultra/Classic], so here's 5 pictures to make up.

Seems like this might be a keeper - given the reputation HD has this bike is really good in it's own right: damn it all - even the brakes are good. I'm well impressed.....roll on summer.

Boxer, that is a really great looking Glide! There's just something about a Harley in black....

Man, you're killing me. I was pretty much decided on a 2010 just like that, now the MOCO has decided we can't have them in the states, fucksticks that they are. Now I am torn between a Classic or a Street Glide.

Yours is very nice, clean and understated

How about a Road King, Big Easy? You can get an aftermarket batwing fairing for it, then you can choose between fairing, windshield or naked to suit your mood.

I have given that idea some thought as well. My initial investigations left me less than impressed with the aftermarket batwings. Truth is I didn't put a hell of alot of effort into my "investigations" so your idea could be a damnned good one. I'm not really looking to pull the trigger for a few months so maybe I'll explore that solution further.

A Shovelhead batwing will fit on the modern bikes...just takes some patience to get it adjusted right.

Wayyyy cheaper than an aftermarket.

First new Harley I ever purchased was a 1972 FX SuperGlide, and I've owned them ever since.

I currently own a number of Harleys, and two of my favorites are shown below;

2003 100th Anniversity Black & Chrome Softail FatBoy.

2003 100th Anniversity Black & Chrome Dyna WideGlide.

Here's mine, a 1983 XLX-61 that I've modded for better handling and better engine performance.

Nope, stock, late Ironhead. Here's what I've done to it:

XLH headers with Dyno-Power slip ons, Barnett clutch, 23/49 sprockets, additional crankcase breather, drilled front discs, Kevlar brake pads, Honda GB500 fork boots, SE fork brace, Progressive fork springs, Ness Cafe' front fender, FXDX shocks, sport seat, early Evo Screamin' Eagle air cleaner, ported intake, Andrews accelerator pump, SE coil & plug wires, Lockhart oil cooler. Rear fender from an Evo - shortened, recontoured and repainted, tank from a 1988 1200, NOS tach kit, H-4 headlight, Night Rod Special handlebars.
