Sanity check

Need some help on a decision I've been weighing on for a year now. Ever since I saw the Buell Uly XT I thought that's the bike I should have gotten. But you can't beat the classic good looks and raw power combo of the the bike I currently own. See pics below.

So, my decision: Do I quick sale my anniversary edition Harley (knowing "the motor company" will NEVER go out of business and where parts are $$ but plentiful) in order to buy an Uly XT, which is a solid bike and I will probably ride more but parts are scarce (or are they?).

Trying to drive the discussion away from comfort level, because I have ridden both and can attest to their greatness. Some areas might be overall NADA value (where I believe the Harley wins), to versatility, to parts/maintenance.

I hope I haven't sidetracked this thread, but I wanted to hear from my fellow Harley owners first!
Thanks!
working on the pics, I'll do it later tonight...

My XL1200R

Here's my new (to me) 2007 XL1200R. Just got it last week. So far I've only taken one ride longer than 15 minutes, but I really like it so far. I'll certainly be having lots of adventures on it!

Can you tell us more about the windshield? It's tough finding a small, sporty windshield that isn't goofy or ugly.

Then, while at WFO on my way up a dune, I understood. It was like the heavens opened up and I heard the voices of Angels.
Shortly afterward, I heard the voice of God. He said, and I quote, "Dumbass."

Indeed it was a search. National Cycle calls it the "gladiator". The mount perfectly matched the existing hardware, and it works just as I intended...

I've been researching small wind screens too, that one looks kinda nice. I like that it doesn't have huge mounting hardware. But what does it mount to? Would it work with dual gauges (like on my Roadster, a few posts up)?

Edit: Damn, after some digging I found it won't work on a Roadster - I guess it doesn't fit with the 2 gauges.
But I found this informative page for anyone else interested: http://www.nationalcycle.com/newrele...iator_XLR.html

i've always liked sportsters and was wondering does HD make color matched lockable hard bags for either the 883 or the 1200 sporty?
