ton of add ons too. forward controls, quick release windshield, backrest, wheels, billet mirrors, chromed fork lowers, all bar and shield stuff. newer skins, i mean the bike needed nothing. the best accessory i got was the factory service manual. hopefully its a sign the p.o. was diligent about taking care of it.
have already touched my heel down cornering with the forward controls. may have to fit it with factory mid's. the pythons are a bit loud too. i not complaining though.

Check your plugs. With special attention to the rear one. Make sure you are not running too lean before the ambient temps get hot.

Anyone have Penske shocks on their Sportster?

They supposedly exist, but no springs for Harleys are listed on their website.

This is my first HD
So far so good
had to put an $800+ seat and backrest to satisfy the spouse for her occasional riding pleasure. Also put on a quick release windshied for when I'm not feeling totally HD wind in the face Bad Ass. The biggest reason for the purchase was ease of maintenance/simplicity compared to my previous bike 2005 BMW R1200GS. I'm not into the "lifestyle" thing it's a fuckin motorcycle not a fashion accessory. I just like to ride

That's why I like them too. The hardest bike that I've worked on to date was a V45 Magna. Total POS, and very hard to work on (IMHO).

BTW...You got a nice bike there!

I remember the first time I laid eyes on the new Fat Bob... The bike just made me smile. The dual headlights, fat tires Dual front disc brakes... It certainly is a bike to be ridden!

Many miles of Smiles.
