I always ran 87 octane (or whatever was cheapest) in my TC88 with no issues whatsoever. I didn't use dino oil except in the primary chaincase.

Here in Korea the low grade gas is 92 octane, which is what I'm using in my TC96.

Different octane rating system.

Hello , new addition to the fleet

Just picked up this '07 Sportster . Custom paint job tank & chopped fenders . Low miles 2900 .
Never ridden a Harley before , albeit it's not a big boy , I love the torque & that Harley sound at idle.
I have put 200 local miles on it in past 3 days & getting comfortable with it.
Not sure about the exhaust ? It is loud ! My riding buddy says keep it that way for my own safety ? I'm wondering if I could tone it down a few decibels without great expense or changing the look of the exhaust ?
Love riding this bike .

If they can't hear emergency vehicles in their sound proofed cars, they are not going to hear your exhaust either.

If you know the manufacturer of your exhaust you can probably get some quiet baffles to go in there or otherwise see if these guys have one that would fit: http://www.smartpartz.com/.

Here's a few of mine.

My bride and I in Montana near Polson at a friends house. We had just run through about 10 miles construction an HWY 93, in a rain storm.

Crossing White pass on HWY 12 in Washington about a month ago on my other bike.

Stock mufflers are easy & relatively cheap to find for Harleys as so many take them off & put some kind of aftermarket set up on. Just check places like ebay etc. or even a local Harley shop. I can't tell from your picture if the mufflers are just slip ons or if you have to change out the header pipes as well. It wouldn't be a hard job.

Yea but if the bike is jetted for the louder mufflers, it'l likely run like shit (too rich) if you put the stockers back on.
