As a matter of fact i'm sippin on a Blue moon this very minute.

I did a little more paintin this afternoon so I can permenently install the frame crossmember ,,,after that I'll hook the brakeline back up and then It will be time to prep the body for the big move.

That will be a big step and the whole project will really begin to take shape.

I fabricated a longer brakeline today. The guy's at Napa turned me on to this Easy bend brakeline.

This stuff is the shit,,,it's almost twice as much as a roll of regular brakeline but it's worth it.

I guess it's supposed to last longer but it's a little softer than the cheap stuff making it easier to bend without kinking and make flare ends.

I'll never buy anything else.

Ok, dumb question, but what are proper brake line fittings? AN style like hydraulic fittings?

Double flare like this.

It's shaped like a bell and even if the fitting loosened up the line wouldn't just blow off all at once.
Compression fittings are fine up to 100 to 200psi or so but hydraulic brake systems operate in the 1,000 to 1,500 psi range.
A compression fitting relies on compressing a ferrel onto whatever line that goes through it to hold the line in place.
Not the best idea for a brake system.

I will say one thing though it looked like that fitting was on there for a while though and didn't leak,,,,but then again it probably wouldn't leak right up to the point of where it blew off completely.
