You could've done this...

As others have said, this will be interesting.

That looks awesome! My school is selling a Minibus and I was toying with the idea of modding into a toy hauler like this. Any pics of what it looks like from the rear? I checked you smugmug account and it looks like it a regular rear of the bus but hinged at the bottom.

That would be just as much work or more and definitely more expensive. If the finished product is close to my minds eye picture I think you'll get it and anyway it's too late to turn back now.

I'm planning to buy a goose neck trailer as well to haul various cargo and when on a long trip this will be much better to sleep in than my pickup.

I had a School bus too but between having no power,,,spring leaf suspention and just being too big ,,down the road she went.
I did however turn it into a shop on wheels when I had my mobile fleet maintenance buisness running. It worked well for that.

Here's a look at what I want to pull with it.

I also plan to get a trailer like this to hopefully make some money with.

Looks like a great project tho, I cant wait to see how it ends up!

There are frame rails underneath the body. I'm not exactly sure how the bed area is going to end up but there is plenty of structure to mount a hitch on.
I also plan on being able to put bikes on the rear if I'm going somewhere for one night and don't need to pull the big trailer.
There is an RV A/C unit already mounted on the roof so a generator is in the plan as well.

This afternoon was spent cutting the majority of the roof off thats coming off and prepping where the two suface's are going to mate up when the rear end cap comes forward.

Now I'm at the point where I have to be carefull where I cut and think three moves ahead before the Sawzall comes out.

Confidence is still high and I feel like I have a good plan.

I'll have more pics tomorrow night
