Pretty sure there was a go pro behind me
Sure was

Made a mistake and glanced at the gps for a too long of a moment, looked up and saw that berm where the road had been decommissioned, didn't even notice the road to the right

Ribs are either cracked or bruised, either way that was a heinous ride out of there. Hurts to move or breath

Well you have a good two weeks to heel. Or maybe I will be Charlie this time around and have my own support vehicle.

Geez Ted, you so hit the ground like a "ton of bricks". It looked quite painful, glad you're in good spirits!! Feel better.

There was no escaping that, go straight and hit a 2 foot mound of dirt and even if the corner was made it was a washed out steep sand hill that needed to be taken at a 1st gear crawl

Tomorrow is going to be a rough day for kamikaze Ted!

A few pictures from yesterday's ride...

Waiting in Cumberland for the ferry.

Stop 1. The sight of girls in bikinis always makes guys want to stop and chat about it.

Nice bike!

And now for something completely different.

This is where Ted had his "little off".

You can see how the road turns right here, but you can't see just how rutted, steep, sandy and dangerous that hill is. No idea what would have happened if we'd come barreling down it.

So what the shortest way back to civilization? Or paved roads, anyway?

Radar trap, or time to snooze in the shade?

Some day my son, all of this will be yours.

Ah yes, what a nice road...

You owe it to yourself to check out the bathroom here someday... Says right on the door in a hand lettered sign: Pour pipi seulement. Yikes! The people were pleasant but what a dump.

And this is how the day ended, with yet another flat rear tire.

Sure is nice having CAA. If you have a Gold membership, they cover bikes...

For those who wondered about the legality of riding in the Pap-Lab park, with signs saying "ATVs Not Allowed", that's exactly what it means. We spoke to a park ranger later in the day and he confirmed motorcycles are allowed there but ATVs are not.

Yeah!

Yeah!
In fact, in all of Quebec's "national" parcs, you need to be street registered to gain access with you vehicle. So as long as your bike hes a plate valid for street use, you're good to go! ATVs are not allowed on the street in Quebec, hence the restriction in national parcs.
