I may never ride the TCAT (though I hope to someday) but I have been following along this thread for more than a year. Congrats to Ted and everyone else who contributed.

A terrific thanks to Ted and the visionaries who had the idea and committed to do the work for this fantastic effort.
A friend and I have ridden a small portion of the Ontario section and if the rest is a good as the section we rode the remainder of the trip will be phenomenal.
Looking forward to completing more if not all of the route.
A EPIC job Ted and all.

Thanks for the kind words and interest.

A few "mistakes" were pointed out on the gps files (which is awesome to have others scrutinizing the files...THANKS!)

R1.1 corrected a faulty line in BC near Adams Lake.
R1.2 corrected a faulty line in Quebec NE of Chicoutimi

R1.3 is being worked on and will have a more acurate track file for a few areas.

We released the gps files so that folks could begin planning their trips, the changes being made are small (more for accuracy than anything else) and don't change roads, trails, etc the route takes so having these early files should be pretty good for trip planning.

We highly encourage you to ensure you have the latest version before you head out on a trip. We'd also encourage folks to email us with any discrepancies they find while riding the route. A few sections were drawn using satellite maps...this is problematic is some areas as foliage blocks the view and some areas of Canada are pretty low resolution. The bulk of the route files were made while riding and recording on a gps, some were transcribed from paper maps. 100% of the route was ridden and is "doable"

Cheers and thanks again

To stay on with the project TCAT for years was a great job and worth the time you spend on it.

WAY TO GO TEAM

Thanks to your dedication, open to everybody (cars, bikes and motorbikes) and free access to the GPS files you have guaranteed a great source of loyal followers and a good crowd of ADV'ers ready and willing to help update the GPS routes.

Now I just have to work out with the boss and THE BOSS how I can get 50+ days off (10k miles, at about 200 miles a day ) and still have a home to come back to

You and me both bro! We'll have to say it's for a very well meaning charity... ScampRoute6000 For 'ickle Sick Children

Fair play lads, all of you. It was an immense challenge and undertaking to piece it all together - mud, sweat and tears included - and then to offer it up with no charge is commendable. Proper 'Shareware' ideals! Now I just have to win the lotto... to buy a pressie for the missus that will out-weigh the 50+ days i'll have to leave her with the kids!

Once again, you're a league of legends. Thank you!
