A club is not a team. Clubs aren't school sanctioned.

I beg to differ, as there are many 'school-sanctioned' clubs. However, there are other examples provided in this thread.

But since you asked,

Griffin High School Rifle Team ( Griffin, Georgia )
http://www.members.aol.com/_ht_a/eodtnt1/GHSRT.html

Roswell High School JROTC Hornet Rifle Team
http://webpages.charter.net/gmunoz/

Aquinas High School Rifle Team

and so on . . .

Big difference from a GUN

Why are the high schools that have "gun clubs" all in backwards-ass country fuck areas?

Why are all the drug ridden, police patrolled schools outside of the backwards-ass country fuck areas?

School clubs and teams can both be sanctioned and also not be funded by the school. Parents had to pay the freight for Lacrosse when my kids were in school - sanctioned sport with league games and letters, just no school money, the only thing they got was the use of the field. I belonged to the photography club, it was completely paid for by the school, they provided cameras, darkroom and supplies and it was also mentioned in the yearbook (shit we took all the pics for it). And your point is?

On target: High school junior places second in state with rifle team

Wednesday, March 27, 2002
By Linda Wilson Fuoco, Post-Gazette Staff Writer

Nicole Cheberenchick joined the Bethel Park High School fencing team as a freshman. When she quickly discovered she didn't like fencing, she picked another sport.
"I tried the rifle team and I really liked that," she said.
