I admit it, I have been inspired by Alton Brown's show Feasting on Asphalt, so I have created a gallery on my smugmug page just for road food. I will post photo of some of the great roadside eateries that I come across in my travels. I will also post them here. I'll start the ball rolling...

Little Red Wagon, Merrimac, Mass. This has to be one of the smallest kitchens around. Located right off exit 53 off 495, it is an easy, quick stop and go from the highway. Complete with a stream and picnic table, it's a great place to stop and grab a bite. Great breakfast sandwiches!

JT Farnham's, Essex, Mass. This place is right up the road from the always crowded and overrated Woodman's. It's hidden enough that the crowds stay away. More of a local hang out. Right on Route 133 on the Essex / Gloucester border.

Ipswich whole bellies, fried to perfection.

Have a seat at one of the picnic tables, enjoy the view.

TWO, Two Wheels Only, in Suches GA.

Blue and White GS's are the preferred method of transportation, of course...

And it's in the heart of heaven...

That's cute . Looks attached to RV. One way to tour and made a buck. Stop at Walmart to sleep and buy more hot dogs
