Thanks, no the train was sitting, waiting for a signal just north of Douglas, WY. I work for the railroad and I was on my way up to Wright for work that week and noticed it and thought it would look pretty good. and it turned out pretty nice. I'm thinking about submitting it for the company calendar for 2012.

I would stick it in a Calendar in a heartbeat... And I'm the guy making this years company calendar... lol. (not his company, mine).

Heres a shot from tonight... new DEVON building going up downtown OKC.

a little tweaking bringing the RAW file into photoshop of course... I've got another done up as HDR if anyone is interested.

That picture almost makes me feel inadequate as a man because it's unlikely that I'll ever own one.... fucking fuck...

if you met the guy that owns that car you wouldn't think that way...

Hes a machine maintenance guy at my work... makes less than i do per hour (most likely), wears a uniform shirt from Cintas thats dirty as hell (drove the car to the shoot in the same work shirt and a camo hat).

Its not about being a great person, or being rich, or anything else... with him, its all about working the right deal at the right time.

Believe it or not he rebuilt a basket case '67 (?) GT500 that was given to him as payment for restoring another car. He sold the GT500 for exactly what he paid for the Ford GT about a week later.

It cracked me up all night... I was doing the shoot wearing my work close - business casual, and people kept walking up to the car in the middle of the shot (30sec shots - people don't understand it) and asking who owned it and looking at me... And i would promptly point them towards the dirty camo hat guy standing a little further back that was still trying to figure out how light can gather in a time exposure. I'm not sure if anyone believe me when i told them.

Heres the HDR shot just for fun, but in B&W.

(its keeps posting a link instead of the photo... weird)

I'm usually a sucker for HDR, but prefer the color version nanotech9. Great shots!

its all good :) HDR is sorta a new discovery for me... sometimes i like it, sometimes not. First time trying in in B&W. If you go to the /kimray/... part of that link its in color as well.

BTW, i meant to say that london photo above is very nice! Love the true white light (as opposed to all that yellow my shots picked up off the lights tonight)
