I've got a Canon SX110IS.....is it capable of taking pics like these (not the professional ones, obviously)? If so, how?? LOL I've played around with the shutter speed, but I'm thinking that doesn't matter at night with a digital. Or am I not braining good?

Chris,
Yes I was going for a one hour exposure and used my stop watch to time it. I cut it off a couple minutes early so I could go to bed. You need an hour or more for decent star trails. If you don't want trails then your exposure must be 25 seconds or less. |

 My house, last night, as I experimented with my tripod, ISO settings and shutter speeds. I am in awe of y'all's pictures. I hope I can take some half as good, I'll be a happy camper.
