Just found this thread, on a recommendation of a riding buddy.

Fabulous pics. How many miles on that camera?

It's snowing here today and it's nice to see some other color than white.

upst8, hannda, rustyrocket, thanks for the visit

upst8, I am not sure what islands those are, sounds like you have some great memories of the area

hannda - dirty johns photo for you this year (if the snow ever stops)

rustyrocket - 3 inches of wet heavy snow here today. I went to renew my registration today and as the clerk handed it to me he said " probably going to be a while before you get the bike out with this shit going on"

If you're looking for something to do in your spare time I was told last week that Zack's in Hudson Falls is for sale.

Great photos

I live in East Greenbush and have worked and rode that area. Very nice report. If it ever stops snowing we can get on the road again.

My local spies tell me that the snow is leaving (the latest rain helping a bunch) and riding season is trying, very hard, to open up for the year.

Thanks for putting this on top again.

Joe your photos are indescribably beautiful.
The landscapes and flora/fauna close ups are mind blowing.
If you have said it before, pardon my not paying attention, what camera/lenses/filters do you use?

Best of luck getting started again for this season. I hope to see some new stuff.

Edit... Found it:

Prometheus-
I noticed the pic of your bike parked at the air strip- I think it's Rt 9. Here is a pic of my 81 GW parked at the same location, July 08. It is a wonderful area to ride isn't it!

A little rich for my blood. If you decide to buy it let me know. I chop a mean onion and am pretty good with the french fry cooker.

What great pictures. I buzzed through those mountains in the Summer of '02 on my then '02 R1150GS. Even stopped by Lake George during the Aspacade. Didn't really have the time to explore all the treasures cause I was really on my way to Nova Scotia. Guess what. Spent so much time playing on back roads from Louisiana to Maine that I ran out of time and had to haul it back home to get to work offshore.
Thanks for the pictures and time to share them. Really makes me want to go back and see what I missed with my own eyeballs.

Hannda, zacks does seem a bit pricey, nice gig though open summers and winters off, be interesting to see if someone buys it. I'll keep your onion chopping and french fry skills in mind, you never know

achesley , soumds like you had a great adventure, think about coming up again, the fall is especially beautiful here. As for me i would love to ride around your neck of the woods one of these days, i love the south
