If hard maps are what you enjoy, you'll be happy with the Butler stuff.

Now, when does the Alaska may come out...
thanks! so cal. took along time to make, more than any other map, because of all the incredible roads. we'll have nor cal out by the summer...even more roads up there to explore! it's unreal.

the map material is tear-proof plastic in the thickest grade avail. it's the same stuff national geo. uses. lasts forever. perfect for tank bag abuse. we're working on some sort of sleeve to keep many maps all together and organized.

have fun exploring those new rides!
alaska? there is alot work to do down here before that as we have dirt series we want to work on as well as more states and areas to cover in the lower 48.

thanks!
the big issue with gps points (on this particular map only) was not to clutter the map. the map is a planning/big-picture overview tool and we expect riders to be downloading the free gps track
http://www.wabdr.com/GPS
you could ride this with the map only (not recomended however) but it is designed to be done with a gps as there are not road signs everywhere like paved routes.

we provide gps waypoints on our other maps for the end points of the G1(best) rides.

we see printed maps and gps existing and working side by side. each has it's own advantage.

Ordered the Washington Backcountry Map and DVD. I did not see the "combo" deal for free shipping, and Butler actually CALLED me before they shipped the items to let me know that the shipping was free on my order. WOW - REAL customer service, and the items got to me in record time. I love the DVD, especially the day 6 "extras-search and rescue" and the map is amazing. I saw Butler at the BMW Rally in Redmond OR last summer (2010), and was bummed that they didn't have anything for Washington at the time. Now they do so order yours today - you won't be sorry!!!

Cheers,

Bill
