I orderd a Utah map from Butler -- there was a small hiccup in teh delivery process (not on their watch, so far as I can tell), and they stepped up and made certain I got mine beffore I left on a long, greatly anticipated trip to, wait for it, Utah.

It's easy to appear graceful and poised when everything goes your way.

Much tougher to do so when things get wonky.

The map looks aces, is clearly printed on some material I could use to seal the wind outa my house, and the folks in the company willing to go the extra mile to help a rider out.

So waddya waiting for? Buy a feakin map already!

you are correct it's a dual-sport map not an off-road map.
neduro won't be using these maps for his primary ride planning.
it's all about dirt roads: either on day rides or touring the state.

nothing is gonna happen at this point till next year.

final quadrants of so cal are being riden/evaluated and then back to colo for map work. then back to nor cal for more riding before winter and then map work on that. it takes a long time to produce a map & it's winter by then in colo.

tenative plan at this point is to divide state into 4 maps for much better detail. benchmark maps are our base maps http://www.benchmarkmaps.com/ . 2 types (maybe 3) of roads highlighted & rated: beast/gs friendly roads and 650-250 DS thumper kinda roads. there is alot of dirt in just those 2 categories of road and since we need to wait till some open (mosquito, webster, buff pass, hagerman, san juans ...etc.) from snow you can do the math.

no maps till next fall would be my guess, sorry to say, but we take our time to do things right.
