"Geographically in the center of the state. Bishop in the east, Watsonville in the west--encompassing the Fresno area as well. The map is, in all actuality, a central and southern Cali map."

Great Maps!

These maps rule

A bud and I ran around Colorado the week prior to the Motocross of Nations. The map made it a piece of cake to do a run and gun ride to all of the cool roads. Ride like crazy, take pics ride some more. All the while knowing where to go next with out all of the 20 questions to a local (most of the time not a local) about where to go next. The map simply works, Thanks!

got winter riding?

so cal. is quickly coming together. there are soooo many amazing roads to be had. infact we had to combine many G1 roads on 1 detail panel as they are so concentrated. what you see is the concentration of G1 areas in the boxes. what you don't see are all the additional G2, G3 and paved goat path roads, plus all the detail on the backside w/ dealer lists and more.

live the dream, buy the map!

where are you riding this winter?

So Cal curvefest!!!

here's a sneak at all the colors (those mean amazing roads) and we still need to add 1 more category:
paved mountain trail...you know that unreal tight small paved cali road you all love!!!

Of course if you buy the map, i promise it will be sharp & clear.

Question

This will also have the closeups of some roads as well?

yes.

the boxes you see on the first blank map are the areas we show additional closeup detail. the larger boxes outside of the state area are where we have these closeup details.

on our past maps each G1 road (the best) has it's own detail map box & description. on this map there are sooo many G1 roads we combined them in some of the detail boxes. on the backside there will be the descriptions of the G1s as well as elevation profiles plus a dealer list for the area.

here's an example from the main map and then there will be an additional closeup of this ride.

we're still working on the final design of the symbols so this is just an scratch image and will change. the numbers relate to the gold G1 roads and the PMT symbol is new for us as it's needed in cali. it stands for a Paved Mountain Trail. these are those tight & twisty, often 1 lane paved roads. we don't have those here in the rockies. these are some of the coolest small roads in the country. we use this symbol to warn someone that the road is tight and narrow.

so the yellow is G1 (Glendora Mtn Rd.), red and orange are G2 & G3 (Mt. baldy Rd.). our concept is to rate each section not just say go ride that road, like other maps do. like i said we also designate if it's also a PMT (Glendora Ridge Rd). PMT can be a G1,2 or 3. Gelndora Ridge Rd, for example is a G1 PMT. Not show is Lost Highways which are desolate open roads (mostly found in eastern cali)
