Okay, no more spy pictures. The next one to get a picture of the 800, just hold onto it. Honor the release date.

Hi everybody!
I used to own a TDM 850, live a normal life, and think i was a complete human being.
And then i sold it
And in my quest for the new S10 info...that thread came along!
It is as it has chosen me, to enlighten me in ways i could not foresee..
I had in the past read AdvRider threads, silly trips always around the same planet ,deserts, Siberia blah,blah..
BUT
Gandalvs' bike?
Elves?
Fuel production?
Gases?
Redheads?
THIS THREAD HAS IT ALL

So i post here ,for my first time, feeling i have taken the blue pill into motorcycle true world..
I only hope the new Triumph accepts me in its generous arms, to be the humble follower..
I don't know if i will ever post again as it is not clear to me yet whether the Adventure's hardcore grace will allow me to waste time and effort for something else..
It is a privilege, i know..

P.S In a recent talk with my confession priest, he revealed to me that the Adventure's first official appearance was meant to be in the Monty Pythons movie about the quest of the Holy Grail.Last scene!
Those who have seen it know the movie was interrupted by brutal police intervention , trying to prevent mass hysteria worldwide(as a wise poster has previously said)
Cheers!

At last some factual information. I'm going home tonight to scrutinise the closing scenes frame by frame for the Golden Egg that will be the previously unnoticed Tiger 800 hiding strategically in the background.

*ahem*

Book of The Tiger, Chapter 45, Revelations, Signs and Omens...

"And so it shall come to pass in the coming of days that the false prophets of Hardcore shall be cast down into the basement, where the multitude of inmates, fulsome of tooth and fang, shall rend them of their flesh, and they shall perish with no hope of salvation and their lamentations shall be unheard.

And darkness and despair shall be as a shadow upon the faces of the faithful, for what was once ordained shall not come to pass, but will be instead revealed unto them at the time of The Tiger's choosing.

And lo', their hearts with grief will be sore. But be it known that despair shall be thrown from their shoulders to fall forgotten and trod underfoot. For The Tiger shall arrive, and the faithful shall be rewarded in the Month of Thanksgiving. And then shall none deny the power and the glory of The Tiger, for it shall shine forth as a beacon unto all riders."

There is no "real thing" and besides Tiger 800's will not ever be seen at mere gas stations the nuclear flux capacitor will ensure a minimum of 20 years hard core offroad riding before even a chain adjustment is required.

It wasn't in the closing scenes at all. Look closely, well not so closely for final proof the ethereal nature of this beast.

Where?
All i see is Adventure's 1st and eternal rider, repressing a GS rider who dared to challenge hardcore off-road ability of the bike

Spoke to my local dealer again today and they said that the bikes feel slim and suprisingly light. The guy I spoke to is about 5'11" and said he could get the balls of both feet on the floor in trainers on the lowest seat height (Roadie version with 19" front).
They also said they heard (from a questionable source) that 675 Daytona cams could be put in to get about 125bhp instead of the standard 95PS.
7000 for the 800 Roadie - 210kg
7600 for the XC - 200mm front travel, about 15mm higher seat, handguards and rad guard are standard
ABS 600

And what happened to the 'hardcore off-road tiger' thread?

It got punted to the basement.

And then when a new thread was started for spy shots and actual information about the bike so we wouldn't need to interrupt this one with facts, it got merged into this one anyway.
