I find it strange that Triumph would order the throttle body replaced if they suspected problems with the throttle position sensor and/or stepper motor. Both items are easily replaced on their own, no doubt at much less expense than replacing the entire throttle body assembly.

So it makes me wonder what they know (or what they suspect anyway) that we don't.

Where the eff are the pictures of people mucking around on their bikes? I've only seen a few photos of people putting accessories on the Tigers.

I think from memory it suggests in the service manual to take the TB's off to replace the TPS and stepper assy.
If that is the case then it would make sence from a labor point of view to replace the whole shabang. No setting up, no mucking around. Whip the old one off and put the new one on

And that's probably when they realised that it was the wrong approach.

I'll just add, as I've posted before, that mine doesn't stall except for when I phuq up. And I ran in the motor (almost) according to the book. "Almost" because I stepped up the rpms about 20% earlier then book.

I don't reckon run in has much to do with the stalling as mine doesn't stall (thought it was for a bit but I reckon it was something to do with my poor clutch/throttle manipulation that day) and I run it in a little different to what the book says

Ok you forced me to do this.

First day out with new Tiger, British Import Motorcycles, Vancouver BC. May 24.

Riding home. May 25

Riding out with Dougal and his Scrambler.

Beginning of five day trip over the backroads of BC.

Chilcotin Plateau

It gets a bit muddy out here sometimes.

Douglas Lake Ranch Road

BC Hwy 6 between Kaslo and New Denver

Farwell Canyon west of William's Lake

Rudy Johnson Bridge north of William's Lake

For a Roadie it does pretty well off pavement. I'll need to raise that front fender though, it tends to load up with mud a bit causing the wheel to lock up. 6200 Km so far with no issues with stalling, hot frames rails, uncomfortable seats, poor suspension or any other problems. I love it!
