Thanks. Metzler Karoos installed prior to delivery. The best part is that it rides like one

Recall

Has anyone recieved a recall letter yet? I know dealers are contacting owners of bikes built between 10/10 and 6/11 (I think) to have recall work performed.
I have not seen it on the Transport Canada recall list yet, but understand it is on the NHTSA list.
Also if you input your serial # in the Triumph.uk site it will tell you any outstanding items.
My '11 XC serial # just tells me to contact my dealer and that there is an issue.

NHTSA # 11V434000
Triumph recall # 431

TuneECU has placeholders for the new tunes but doesn't have them available for download yet (people go get the new tunes so you can send them to TuneECU!). Looks like the newest tunes are:

20630 - for 800 and XC without ABS and with standard silencer.
20631 - for 800 and XC without ABS and with Arrow silencer.
20626 - for 800 with ABS and Arrow silencer.
20628 - for 800 with ABS and standard silencer.
20627 - for XC with ABS and Arrow silencer.
20629 - for XC with ABS and standard silencer.

Hope these tunes do the trick for everybody who's having the stalling issue.

So, got some oil today. It took a while 280ml before it was full again. So, definitely not an issue over 4000 miles of running in. :)

431 recall

My dealer was calling people yesterday on the 431 recall. Of course they had a typo on my cell number though so I didn't get a call. I was calling about something else and asked and they said yeah they were trying to get a hold of me. I went in to pick up an adventure tail bag and they performed the recall in under 10 minutes.

I had no prior stalling issue and notice no difference in the performance nor any change in off throttle or clutch in behavior. But I believe the new map is supposed to more aggressively apply the stepper motor if the rpms drop during clutch in decel.

I rode my Tiger to the dealer yesterday to set up an appointment for my 12k service on my T100 Bonneville. They said, "hey, we have a new software update for your Tiger, roll it in." I have had no issues (3000 miles in 2 months) so I said "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it." and they agreed.

There was a Tiger XC rider getting his 1st checkup, spoke to him briefly, said he was on this forum, but did not give his screen name. He asked why I didn't have the XC and I said I already have a good dual sport- the DR650.

I wonder how many San Diego riders are on here? I have been led to believe I have the only non-XC in San Diego.

Be safe!

Here is a link of the 800xc doing a leadout in the Pro Cycling Challenge, just the start/Finish and I left the "hardcore" dirt section in to keep it on topic

Howdy again then! Maybe I will see you out at Corral Canyon sometime. Don't forget to go up to the tower next time you are there.

Front end wobble update: front tire (stock Pirelli Scorpion Trail) being replaced under warranty due to runout.

The center stand recall is just a spring upgrade, I believe.

You got any more info (such as a recall/work number) on the center stand spring? I noticed mine started having some movement off-road and was going to start looking into solutions myself shortly. So they're just replacing it with a heavier spring?

I was watching the tt, wishing I was there. Love to motor marshal, and am hoping to figure out a way to be a part of next years pro cycling challenge.

I agree. Could also mean that Mr Whateverhisnameis is not totally "in the loop" regarding these issues. Who knows?
I'd also like to point out that Triumph have a Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/OfficialTriumph where you can post problems. They do look at it and do reply. I know because I've made a couple of posts and got a response.
In fact there's already a discussion about the stalling issue http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?ui...24&topic=18695 not big but it is there.
