My 2008 Triumph Daytona 675 has 14,500 miles on it and doesn't leak oil and vibrate and runs like a top. <---- the vibs and leaking are probably your worn out sex toy.

Sense of humor. Get one.

If you read further you'd have seen that I was being ironic and in fact, ride a Triumph Scrambler and also that I noted that of all the 40+ motorcycles I've owned, I think it's the funnest, all-round bike of them all.

But we digress - time to get back to the many "breaking news" posts in this thread and learn all we can about this splended new offering from our friends at Triumph!

Breaking news: I just heard that the Victorionox, the company that makes Swiss army knives, has come up with a new slogan: "Our products are almost as useful as the Triumph Tiger 800"

Stay tuned for updates. Film at 11:00.

That is an understatement. I heard that there was a meeting of all world religions, plus representitives from aboriginal cultures, and the upshot of this confabulation is a multi-theistic decree that the new Triumph Tiger 800 is a an earthly manifestation of God's/the Gods' love.

Rumor also has it that there is a petroglyph of the bike on a newly discovered Mayan calendar.

Will the seat cover material cause chafing when I ride with no pants? I'm pretty sure I spotted someone in one of those videos riding with ass-less pants. A good sign perhaps? I'm hoping for real improvement in this area over the German/Austrian offerings.

Compared to this thread, it is totally lame and the people on it don't have near the facts we do.

Just thought you should know in case someone is talking about the Triumph Tiger 800 and they sound really stupid you can gently let them know that they were in the wrong place.

That is all - now let's get back to hard, cold facts.
Dear Mista Vern .....

Is it true that within Triumph's Marketing Division, one of the possible names for this new 800cc beast, is in fact;

The Triumph Dirty Sanchez

And that, that name has not been completely ruled out?

Thank you,

G-Funk

I am sorry, but my handlers advise me against making a comment on the record at this time. I thik I can say though, that the moniker "Triumph Tiger 800 DS" has, indeed, been overheard at gatherings of certain people in the know. That is all I have to say about that.
