I like the idea of buying directly from the craftsman

If he can put Givi mounts on those, I'm putting them at the top of my list.

Fitted the SW Motech chain guard and shock absorbing GPS mount.
Still a few more things to do, but definitely "getting there".

Here is the splash screen. It is something I created myself. If anyone wants to use this, they are more than welcome to.

I will have a go at doing an XC version.

How to upload a splash screen. Courtesy of "Stevo" on the Tiger 800 forum.

1. Firstly pick out a picture or logo and save to a directory of you choice.

2. Next, plug your 660 into your PC and go to the Garmin directory named JPEG.

3. Copy the picture to that directory as a JPEG. I have a file size of 510x347. Any bigger and it will only become pixelated/blurred and will not appear any larger on the splash screen.

4. Close the directory on your PC and unplug your sat nav.

5. Restart your sat nav and on the Zumo 660 go to>Tools>Picture Viewer. Scroll down to your picture and select it. When open press Info and select the tick box that says 'use this photo as the default splash screen?'press back until you reach the start and restart your Zumo. The picture you selected will then appear as your splash screen.

So he just said on his thread that he can make racks for the Tiger 800 XC. For side cases and a top case and side and top rack and all pre drilled with attachment fasteners all ready plus shipping to the US its 858 Euros or 1182 dollars. Thats about half of a similar Touratech setup.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...661079&page=10

These pretty much look identical to the BMW OEM offerings but the same set for the F800GS cost
Total:$2,065.93. So buying directly from lstvan the Romanian craftsman is half the cost.
