For me, It was decided way before any of these rumors started. If Triumph ever decided to build a more dirt oriented Tiger with the same engine that's in my Street Triple, I said to my self, I'll dump the GS in a heart beat!

That engine is the most emotional, visceral and engaging engine I have ever experienced.

So, here I am, GS-less waiting for Santa to stop by my dealer. Deposit already laid down sight unseen...all because of that engine!

YOU ARE CORRECT...SIR.! THE TRIPLE MILL IS THE NUTS.!

"NUTS", wasn't that a quote from one of our generals?

Just judging from the reports of the Street Triple riders, this bike has got to go like hot cakes. Now, do I want the roadie or XC? Think the cast wheels and 19" front suit me better, but will wait and see.

OK, sue me, I didn't read 8000 pages of drivel, only the first 20 and last 10 - it's hard to do over dial up on a tin can and string good thing I have a sense of humour

68 pages. And only about 65 are pure drivel.

Commanding General of the 101st Airborne during the Battle of the Bulge when invited by the German general to discuss terms of surrender. The response so confused the Germans that the Americans got a few hours of rest before the fighting continue.

Back on topic. I have a pair of 12GSes. One is a sidecar tug for camping with my dog. The other is more dirt oriented. But I'll be checking out the Triumph when it comes out as a more dirt worthy bike in the stable.

I'm showing about 21" below the seat height on the tallest setting, +- a few pixels.

A lot of it appears to be just complete guess work and contradicted elsewhere in the press.

Now we have official photos of the bikes, official photos of the GI Joe style riders who will own this machine, photos and lists of accessories, details of most dimensions and even pricing does anybody else feel that it's time to move on?

Maybe this thread could be closed as being no longer relevent and somebody could start a new thread about the 2012 model upgrade or the 2013 V-Strom 80cc/6 hardcore bike (yes I said 80, you heard it here first) or even the electric only BMS GS Adventure with an incredible range of 76km between charges (I believe that one is being built for the upcoming "Long way around London" 10 part TV series).
