As it the same engine made bigger I doubt it.
But also consider that the 800 is going to be in a milder state of tune, so similar gas mileage is not out of the question.

Exactly. So, what is your point again? I guess you will understand things better if you read what I wrote.

You will have to figure that out on your own.

Because dealers are stating the XC comnmands a £500 premium over the 800, with ABS extra on both.

Well, at the moment I have neither, but am prepared to buy tomorrow if I find the right deal. So it's not a matter of switching, just a matter of deciding, and I've been putting off a decision waiting to see what this new Tiger shapes up to be. Throw in the new Husky with the GS rotax 800 and I might really have to think (and wait...)

Having owned the 800GS I know exactly what it is AND isn't. I already told myself if the Tiger was it's equal I'd buy it in a heartbeat just to try something different. I've got a long list of pros and cons for each but have to wait for more real info on the Tiger to decide. In the meantime I'll remain objective as I'm not a fan boy of either brand, but just want what will work best for me. Who knows, maybe get another GS and then the street tiger to replace the Strom? I dunno, maybe sell them all and buy a Harley with knobbies. Really though, the choices are sure fun, and whichever I end up with you'll hear the good and bad from me like always

Not sure why it's coming up as a link and not the picture, might have something to do with me posting this from my cell phone, or maybe the Tiger doesn't want to be seen in the forum.

I own a R1200GS. Now say this out lowd, I own an R1200GS. Doncha think the second one rolls off the tung a bit betterer. I reckon the barstools that planned and plotted the Inglish langwich got it wrong and shoudda included the letter 'r' in that 'a' and 'an' rool.
