The deer cleaned out everything in front of the forks except the instrument pod and windshield. It was relatively simple to screw on the new plastic parts to make it whole again. Front tire, wheel, brakes and forks all survived without problems. It works perfectly.
I found excellent service from Triumph central warehouse. Parts were here in about three days. Also, they used ample thread locker at the factory. I was impressed. Nine ribs and some road rash and six weeks of recoop and I'm good. 2k on the bike since rebuild. Lv it. |

Yup. It doesn't much matter what's on the dash...there's a bunch of shit...just get the bike, you'll love it.

Same with my 1050 and its lack of a gear indicator. I'm sure, there's a gear position sensor in the trans.

Handlebar Mount Size
Have a 2012 Tiger XC800 and want to order a handlebar mount for an accessory thermometer. Anyone know what size the handlebar is? (7/8 -1" or more than 1") Can't find any spec on this. Thinking it's more than 1".

Accessory thermometer? Hmmm...I don't really want to know. If it's too cold or too hot I know it, don't really care what the exact degree is. It's not like riding in my car where I wanna know how hot or cold it is outside. Even then, I just roll the window down and stick my hand out. ![]() You could fabricate a mount that goes under one of the bar mounts.

Hey, that's my buddy Craig, he's local here in so-Cal. Rode with him once long before I got my Tiger. Yep, he loves his.
