Former busa owner here. I had an 06 for about a year.
The bike was a little too heavy and long for me but Oh what a beautiful motor.
Actually bike was great for touring. Very fast touring if thats your cup of tea.

A good buddy of mine got a free set of Corbin Beetlebags for his gen2.. They used his bike (for 2+ months) to make the original set. The pic of the orange and black gen 2 on Corbin's site is his bike..

Here he is in Oregon with me.. the maiden voyage of the very first gen 2 bags!

Hey Qwik, noticed a few pages back you had some Yoshimura RS-3 mufflers on your Busa. How do you like them? Are they a lot louder than stock? Notice any change in power characteristics?

There is a set of nice carbon fiber ones for sale locally, slip ons, virtually new, for less than half the cost of new. Thinking about picking them up, but don't want it too loud.

Edit: especially interested that they be fairly subdued at part throttle cruising...

And this is a GREAT place to ask this.... Since I kind of have a heavy throttle hand.

Anyone else get pulled over driving the same on their 'Busa as they do on their Adventure? I seem to get stopped more on the 'Busa, but I drive them both in the same mannor- (slightly agressive, but not warp speed).

I haven't gotten any tickets (yet)- but I've been pulled over three times this year on the 'Busa, zero on the Adventure.

I have also installed a Kaoko throttle lock - excellent - much better than a Throttlemeister (I tried one on my ZX14....awful) - installation was a snap, and it works perfectly without any adjustment.

I put the Kaoko on my 'Busa and Adventure- a little pricey but worth it. Especially on the 'Busa because before you know it you're clicking along at 120.

I wan't sure about the white, but it kind of grew on me. Now I love it! I'm thinking of a Speed Racer (Mach 5) paint theme...

They are just a touch louder than stock but its a nice low growl. I'm Real happy with them.

On my Busa, Uhmmmmmm Damn, I have lost count.

Ah, was wondering how the centerstands work. I picked up a used one with all the bits and pieces a while back, and haven't looked at mounting it yet. Is that the stock fairing part (wtf is it called?) on the stand? I figured you ditched that...

Infidel - my "adventure" bike is a KLR650. What chance is there to be pulled over for speeding on one of those?

No tickets on the Busa... yet. Hopefully never (good radar detector helps).
