yes you're right. the players are making far too much compared to the other sports. i think it's hilarious that the people right now who are the most critical of the hockey lockout are the players' agents....... because they're not getting paid is why!!! I don't know what's going to heppen but I thin kthe NHL is probably over and done with. too bad because i enjoyed the game a lot but the whole system has been doomed to collapsing for years now.

Well, if it dies, the Canadians will come up with something to replace it. I understand that the entire country is going through depression right now.

Fresno's got a double A team that plays at Fresno State's new "Save Mart
Center". They used to play in the West Coast League but now play in the
ECHL.

Of course if you don't want to travel all that way, you can catch a San
Jose State game at Logitech Ice. At least they get more fans than the
football team

Next game is on the 3rd against Stanford (that should be a yawner).

For some real fun, go see a Palmer game. That'd be Palmer College of
Chiropractic West.

There's always the NBA. They seem to have taken up hockey-style brawls. Just allow goaltending and give them sticks, then who would notice the difference?

Doubt it. I would imagine the Canadians are either playing or watching kids
and minor hockey.

I didn't know you were a CBJ fan
Maybe we crossed paths in gNat when I was in CBus last year

Now, will Geoff play like he did in 00/01 or should Doug've gotten more for him and left him in Vancouver ? Either way - the CBJ can only get better

I'll see Mingo (Rick Nash) in Oslo on dec. 21st for the exibiton game - ought to be good.

I don't think folks are missing the NHL as much as maybe the players/agents thought they would. Plenty of minor league hockey around. They can start back up next year with new players.

I go to several CBJ games a year. It's the best entertainment in town at the best arena. Hockey rocks!

.... that is, if we ever get to see them again.

we have 2 WHL teams in commute distance. And it is better hockey than NHL anyhow. And a center ice box seat for four adults is under a c-note.
