she really only likes to hunt upland game birds. She enjoys working with the dogs. She's too impatient to sit in a stand for deer.

Don't know much about hunting in the eastern US. Can she sneak around the woods and stalk them?

I don't like sitting around either. Never got one that way.

Is that a Lyle recurve? I shoot a couple old Grooves one of which I had built for me custom at the Groves plant here in Albuquerque when I was 10 in 1968, the other I bought (a 1970) only about five years ago. I do hunt with a compound bow too, an old 4 runner, but am more extinctive with a recurve when something is moving faster than a walk. Shoot, I can hit rabbits on the run with my original Groves. BTW I have a Lyle fusion long bow too is why I asked.

I get the fresh venison, the control of pests, the challenge of the hunt and the joy of a day in the woods. Bravo. Jolly good show.

I don't get the camouflage and dayglo orange combinations. Seems mutually defeating to me. WTF?

It's the law for big game (gun season) and upland bird hunting.

Supposedly, deer and what-not cannot see that color.

TexasRT- not to make light of you hunting the warthog or anything... but I had one of those walk up to me about 2 feet away while we had a campfire on the Serengheti.

EDIT: I missed the bow and arrow part... that's skill!!

Indeed, and I'm a little jealous.
