Motorcycle Porn. BC style.

Alright... full disclosure. I've been lurking on this site for a couple months and salivating at all the awesome riding that people are doing!

And while I'm not new to riding, I am new to fatherhood which means my riding frequency has dropped significantly in the past 5 months...

However, the stars aligned today and I had the day off... it was awesome out and the Boss (my little munchkin) was off to a class with mom.

Time for some riding...

I spent 20 odd years riding street bikes but over the last couple of years I switched to dual sport and I'm so happy I did.
BC has some great dual sport riding...

Thought you all might like a sample.

This is an area close to my house (near Vancouver). It has a couple of lakes that have been created by hydro electric dams...

But there are also some sweet mountains that divide the lakes... makes for some nice scenery.

There is tons of other great stuff around here... If I ever get away again, I'll post some more!

What a view

I especially like this bottom picture with that incredible vista. Wow. Makes me want to ride to the coast. These are all places you'll be able to show the Boss a few years down the road. Congrats on dadhood, you'll love it.

These pics are from an area close to my home, just outside of Vancouver BC.

I have some regular stomping grounds and the above ride is one of them. I've been searching out some of the trails around here for the last few years and have come up with a few favorite rides.

Here is another spot that is a close by favorite...

Ride safe!

Cool area. I wouldn't mind riding up around there.

Very cool panorama pic. Is that the Stave/Hayward area, or someplace else?

BC riding

Hey, I'm headed your way this september for an asphalt oriented adventure. What roads would you say I should put on the must do list?

Yep.
The top panoramic is the very end of the Hayward lake road... a little spot where you get an overlook of both stave and allouette lakes.

The bottom panoramic is not Hayward lake road but it is looking over stave lake.

You must live around Vancouver then?

In my opinion the top road riding is between whistler/pemberton & a town called lilloet.
The name of the road (as I know it) is called "the duffy lakes road"
