We would love to meet for a cup of joe or a drink and kick tires and tell yarns with local riders.

timbercat,

I'm camping up near Rimrock Lake the weekend of the 8th, but should be back in town by the 11th.

Suggest you post when the time gets a little closer and we can see about getting some folks together.

I cannot speak for the South Fork, but I was up on Tollgate about two weeks ago and once you get into the trees, off the highway I got snowed out real quick. I am betting its clear up to cub saddle, any higher then that I would think you would get snowed out

As of last weekend you could make it within 2 miles of Deduct pond. You can also make it to the top of Rough Fork and Burnt Cabin. On Saturday the snow was blowing sideways at Motet but nothing was sticking. North Fork, you can make it to Cow Camp and about 1.5 miles past before hitting logs. In the next weekend or so we'll have it cleared out.

Note to self, if you need a trail update on the south fork, just ask teamchaos

Hodaka Days in Athena

Got a buddy and friends/family of his who are camping this weekend down in Athena for Hodaka Days. I'm going to ride my new-to-me BMW f650gs down there on Saturday to meet up with them. Probably leave WW around 7:30 - 8;00 am time frame. Anyone interested in getting together and coming along? Post here or call me at 240-0178, WW area code.

The weather was beautiful and sunny in the am. The storm blew in around 1:00 pm with wind and heavy rain for a time. I hunkered down until it had passed (and had passed WW as well) and headed home. Got a lot of pics of lots of different Hodakas. I'm headed over to Rimrock to drop my kid off for camp and hopefully to sell the red BMW. I'll post the pics when I get time.

Sold the red BMW yesterday, so I'm down to three bikes, counting the 2007 BMW g650gs that was delivered last week.

I like it. The only ride I've done on it was last Saturday down to Hodaka Days in Athena. Not enough miles on it yet to know about gas mileage, but I'm sure it has to be better than what I was getting with the other BMW.

I'm headed for Colorado next week and taking the new BMW with me in the Toy Hauler. Ought to have a much better sense of it after that trip. Looks to me like Independence Pass is 16.5 miles from where I'll be camping near Aspen, so I'll likely take a little trip up there for some photos.

Walla Walla ADVers get together

What do you Walla Walla area riders think about getting together for some BSing and a sandwich?
How about this; We meet at about noon at Tony's sub shop on Isaacs Ave. this saturday June 30.
Waddayasay? You folks want to do that or (some other time or other place)?
I know we have tried to get something together in the past but have fizzled.
While we are at the sandwich shop folks could talk about going on a ride if they wish or what ever, or we could have an impromptu show & shine - I still have bugs from last year on mine! Maybe see who has the biggest bugs???
Anyway it is a thought and another attempt to get something organized.
Respond here if you think you can or have another idea.
greatnortoni
hope I don't fall down in front of everybody - but then I would have plenty of help to pick it up?
