A very nice bike, congrats!

Im actually now looking into a few bikes that are nearby to me at the dealer and this is one of them (2009 ER6n) along with a still brand new 2007 SV650. Both look like they can be had for the same price basically.

Hi there I am new to this forum. I bought a ER6F in February and would like to know is it possible to change the bike exhaust sound . Is it possible to do some modifications to it so that it sounds like a honda cbr or kawasaki z750?

Nope.

You've got a 2 cylinder bike, and it's parallel configuration makes it
sound the way it sounds. Different exhaust will result with different
variations on the same 'theme', but you can NOT get the sound of
a 4 cylinder bike.

You should be able to find different exhaust sounds on YouTube by
searching for "er6 exhaust" and "650r exhaust". A lot of videos on
the subject there.

When it gets broken in, you can start modifying it a little bit.....

Oh well thanks a lot though.
Guess I have to buy a Kawa Z750 then but before that I need to settle my bank loan and sell this bike.
I see you have the same bike with ABS.
I have seen the videos on youtube with the yoshimura exhaust.

Picking up my Versys on Friday. Very similar to the er6n in a lot of respects.

This is an old thread but I just saw it...LOVE that bike in white.

I wouldn't, if it's only the sound that's bothering you.

The ER6 is an overall better package/value bike in my opinion, and
the Z while also a great bike is more sport-oriented, not as comfortable
(and the ER6 isn't comfortable to begin with), has no wind protection,
sips more fuel, and has less torque down low.. and for a street-fighter
kind of bike, it's too heavy too.

From my experience, all of it's rivals are better bikes (like the Yamaha
Fazer or the Honda Hornet).. and you'll get the same kind of sound with
them too.

I've always loved the 1 and 2 cylinder sound better then the 4s though..
