What is your dream boat?

Mine is a Drascombe Coaster. I can't get over it.

How about one of the Duluth harbor tugs, the Minnesota or the North Dakota?

That Drascombe Coaster is about perfect. Looks like you can row it in the shallows, sail it in the wind and motor if all else fails. Where can you get them and how much is a good used one?

It looks to be about 20 feet?

Churchouse Boats Ltd in Britain is building them, but also I heard another company is building them under another name.

They're 22 feet LOA. It's basically the Drascombe Longboat with a cuddy cabin. There's an outboard well for very secure management of an outboard, or you can put a small diesel inboard at the expense of cabin space. I haven't sailed one, but I've sailed a Lugger and I think the handling is similar. It's easy to row.

It's my dream boat. Not sure how much a used one would cost, but I am thinking they are very, very expensive. But worth every penny. You can spend 6,000 easy on a Lugger, I think.

Old converted trawler that holds a 45' cabo & 20' center cockpit on deck.

Guy has a couple cool TV shows on ESPN, etc.
Ocean Hunter, and Offshore Adventures.
Both worth a look if you can catch an episode.

Started out with a 72' yacht fisher.
Has since upgraded to the mothership with the 45' cabo & crane.

I was imagining boats, not yachts, although if I ever had a yacht, it would be a converted working boat.

Camping is a stretch but there is a "bed".....and a head, although you have to be a circus freak to operate it.

I agree though Klay.....someday a converted work boat would be cool.....I do like the idea of living on a long range trawler some day.
