+1000 on Rudy52. I was so taken aback by his generosity, I didn't take any pictures. He even came down to our camp later on and shared more goodies with us.

Ya, it was surreal. There were delicious home-made cookies from his wife as I recall, and then we got a bag of ice for our beers for camp!

Halfway through the MT1000 my oil filter was caked. I pulled the filter skin off and clumps of dried mud rained down. Scary, but that's why I have filter skins! Roll on a fresh one a go!

The least I can do is wash off the outside, eh?

Happy birthday, Sven!

Cool campsite. That was fun one for sure.

Great photos of your filter and campsite. We were camped across the stream crossing from you about 1/4 mile beside the pond.

How many guys does it take to lift a 950 anyway?

This part was gnarly! The tally was three bikes down in this spot. (but not mine!)

Jonz has a go on the "correct" middle line:

It's always stepper than in looks, but this pic kinda gives a feel for how big these bumps are:

Jonz had so much luck with the middle line on the rocks he decided to swing right through the water crossing to keep things interesting. Well, they got interesting!

U-Boat Captain Mommer issuing the command "DIVE! DIVE!"

Smooth as silk...

Oh man, the sound of, what, FIVE LC8s and assorted KTM singles all barreling through that tunnel was amazing. What a unique experience!

Did someone say something about bras?

Wait, wait... Let's see that a little closer!

Man, that was a good day.

Hi Sven!

It was about this time in the trip our group started having mechanical issues.

The poker run was a nice idea, but it wasn't really designed for the gnarly Alternate Riders! We gave up on that pretty quickly.

The Gravelies! (Which sounds like the title of a B horror flick...)

I wasn't really in photo mode that morning, I was just enjoying cruising along through that beautiful, hypnotizing scenery, so I didn't get a lot of pictures.

I like this pic!

Flat #4.

As I was breaking the bead Davestr and Mommer reappear! My team! But on only one bike... (How are those hips, Mommer? Spread 'em! ) It's so cool you guys found us there, if I hadn't had the flat we would've been gone, so I guess that means it was good thing???

Lots of FAST gravel, if you're into that sorta thing...

Is THIS the one you were asking about? Mmmmm, D'Eagle!

If would've been me I probably would've opted out for the rest of the day. But Jonz, no sir! "Just get my arm on the throttle and I'll be alright." Burly!

Watching him put on the helmet with the bum arm made me wince, but not as much as seeing him do his necessary running karate-kick-bike mount-up. It hurts to watch.
