I really like Guzzis but do not know enough about them to find a good one. This thread looks really interesting and I think I am going to learn a lot. Good luck on the build. BTW I have an RS and I think they're beautiful so nah.

Nahh, to each their own.

That's why I put a Vetter and hard bags/top bag on my Norton Commando, made a cafe racer out of my MG Eldorado, and put a side car on my Ducati SuperSport. Cause there is no right and wrong, just personal taste, or lack thereof.

Loaded,

I'm looking forward to seeing the end product.

Anything's going to look better then an SP. Heck even a Guzzi bobber would be better.

The SP is right up there at or near the top of the ugliest guzzi's made.
And it's all that fairing, tank and seats fault.

At least it has good looking side covers.

Uhh, actually the jury is still out on the sidecovers . . .

That's beautiful.

I'd love to ride a bike like that around Ireland.

Guzziology is your source to spending too much time in the garage. It's a good thing.

Oh! your right, well the jury's not out. those are wonky looking in their testarossa fabulousness. For some reason I thought loaded's SP had V7Sport style covers.

i felt a bit guilty just looking at the bike while i wait for my license plates. they could take a couple months apparently (applied for collector ones) and if they call an inspection the bike has to go in under its own power. i decided i'd do some of the small jobs that don't require dis assembly... like foot controls!

the stock pedals are pretty bulky and i'm going to have a solo seat. no need for the passenger pegs!

made a set tonight that are kinda neat. a little "dog bone" bracket mounts to the stock bolt holes, then i machined an arm with a small roller bearing. unfortunately i designed it for the rear bolt hole, but that is a bit too cramped for me so the linkage pickup point is a bit too far forward. i made up another program with the right dimension which i'll run tomorrow morning. for now this is it:

and a shot of the stocker for reference

the brake side is similar. i will be changing the rear brake to a more modern caliper and cylinder which should be here next week. i'll confirm the cylinders new location on the frame, then machine that arm.

also need to work on the gear linkage to get a good ratio.
