last night i welded up a cart out of some angle iron i had in the shop. hurt my back a couple months ago. the idea of working on my bench (which is too high) or the floor wasn't exciting. this should make things a bit better and i can move it around the shop when i'm not working on it.

dropped by geodocs place today to pick up a couple jigs and fixtures. his bike is even better in person. the level of work is incredible. if my bike is half as nice i'll be chuffed. thanks for the pieces, sir!

next on the list is some machine work. i need to place the driveline in the frame where i want it, then make a rear engine mount and cradle before moving up front for what will now be called "the big chop"

Oh m-m-m-m-an! This is going to be a great thread! I got his thing free with the cherry 850T I bought years ago, and it's the one I wish I kept. Both of them are somewhere on Vancouver Isle. This one probably looks the same today.

I can't believe the guff about the fairing in the first few pages. SP's are fugly, save for the round jugs. I can't wait to see what other bling you machine up. Make spares and put them on your site. I'll call you when I'm ready for them

the goal is to do something on the bike every day/night when i'm in town. even if it's something small... otherwise it'll never get done! kids were being a pain in the ass tonight. small one just wouldn't go to sleep! after that shit it was nice to get out to the shop and make some chips.

this evenings project was a "battery tray". the battery is going to be hiding somewhere else so it's more of a transmission mount than anything else. machined from aluminum... here she is:

nice- whats the plug that looks like an oil filler cap on the valve cover for? are you planning to do away with the lower frame rails? Ive seen a few like that before, but its not usually an option for most people unless they have access to all sorts of machine shop toys.

gonna keep the dual shock swing arm, or is that getting modded too?

yeah yeah... you could come up here and help me get some of these goddamned customer cars out of my shop so i can play!

did get a couple hours in each day though... nothing too exciting unfortunately, but since you're riding my ass here you go. chopped a whole whack of these things off the frame

then smoothed it all out nice and pretty like. you may notice something lurking underneeth the peg/lower frame mount holes.

the part under there is the start of my lower rear transmission mount. i'll do my best to get it done tomorrow.

i would if bikes were what i did day to day, but i don't have room for a permanent bike lift. just happens there will be another car coming in the shop next week i have to make room for. pretty excited about this one! (not this serial number car, but the same car)
