DRZ250 vs TTR250 as complement to KLR650
Just bought a KLR 650 and looking for a second bike, ostensibly so my wife and I can ride together, though I should be careful not to describe a smaller bike as "hers."
We are both new riders and are looking at bikes that will be good for building skill that will feel at home on mountain and desert two-track here in Utah. I want something that is smaller and lighter than the KLR that will be a little more trail capable, but it needs to be able to keep up with the KLR for dual sport tours (obviously a street legal kit would be required). Wondering what the consensus is on the TTR versus the DRZ or whether we should be looking at something else entirely. Thanks! |

Good thing, too, because the TTR250 I was looking at is no longer available. Have an appt to check out the DRZ on Friday morning. We'll see. Also thinking about WR250R and DRZ400. But the price is right for the DRZ250.
