Warning: Locktite your side stand! Mine came loose last week on a 450 mile ride. I always checked it before a ride, but failed to on the last ride. We stopped to get gas and when I went to put the side stand up noticed it was very loose. There are two button head bolts that hold it in place and the one that is recessed was mia. The other bolt was out about 1/4". thankfully the bike didn't fall over at the gas station. Two zip ties and a little locktite got us home.

I had a similar occurrence except I didn't realize it was loose... but my shifter kept hanging up on downshifts. It was rubbing the side stand. Once I figured that out I was good to go. Of course I should have known, having lost one side of my centre stand

I'm really starting to love this bike...
At work on Friday, I was parked next to a cbr1000rr and a vfr800. Guess which bike people were gushing about? I'm finding it very comfortable on highway. It's very easy to creep up to 90 without really being aware of it. I made a good choice. Thanks for everyone's input.

Just finished a 1300 mile ride with some friends. We kept the speed up in the 70's and into the 80's depending on what the speed limit was. The Norge did not miss a beat. My fuel mileage was between 46 and 50mpg US gallon.
The heat was a problem when it was 100 degrees out. There are no AC options on Motorcycles except maybe the Goldwing. Here I am before the trip... ![]() Here are the guys... ![]() ![]() Cooling off on top of Chinook Pass

That was a bad day. 1 hour earlier We had lost one of the bolts to the side stand and had to rig it to get home. We still got 450 miles for the day.

You win... I do not want any more of those Performance Awards...
![]() Yeah, a bad theme.... Not sure about you guys but the more miles that Norge gets on it, the better it runs and the faster it wants to go..! Great.

Yep, mine too. I thought the motor was a bit blah until it got to about 7500 miles. Since then, it has really been sweet and gets better all the time.
