I finally got my top box from MG.
Sad part is the extra lock assembly that came with the bike won't work in the updated top box.

Do you find the addition of the top box cuts into the passenger's space at all, ie do you feel it should have been located further back ??

ddddd,
I just got the topbox the other day and haven't had a chance to have gf give her feedback. I will report back after she has had a ride.

When I had my top box installed, it was just a bit too forward for my wife. I was able to move it back without any problem. Mine is the Givi and the keys don't match. I am OK with that. I always keep the top box on the bike and keep lots of misc. stuff in it. The side cases are only for overnight trips.

Any bottom feeders out there looking for a Norge on the cheap?

Was just at Moto International today and saw a 2007 Red Norge with 25,000 miles that looked really clean and priced to sell. (Note that it's not listed on the MI website.) Actually looked cleaner than mine and I've only got 15,000 miles.

Had bar risers, Throttlemeister (both sides), and a Guzzi top case. The top case was the only thing not clean--had some scatches--but easy enough to re-paint. Panniers looked really decent. I think Dave said it also comes with a Guzzi tank bag.

The bike was originally sold new by MI, then traded in on a new bike to a Seattle BMW dealer. The 2nd owner bought it from the BMW shop, rode it, then traded it back to MI on a new bike.

The asking price is what caught my eye. Dave said that since he has so many nice Demo Norges for sale on deep discount, a used Norge with 25k on the clock has to be priced quite a bit less. Not gonna post the price here though, since Dave hasn't published the price on his website. PM me if you want to know.

Oil sending unit...

If you ever have the dreaded oil light come on while riding the Norge take second and check the dashboard errors for the type of issue that you may have... Well right after you check your heart and pull over...!

Mine happened during start up and went out, then came back on shortly after. I turned around and went back home, fired up the diagnostics menu and found the issue was indeed the sensor.

The 07 error field indicates the sensor is the error, the 08 indicates a loss of oil pressure.
A = Active error, M = Memory error or one that has happened ib the past.

You can clear the errors also...

Ciao,
Rob

I've been following your thread on wildguzzi. Glad it was just the sensor.
Thanks for the heads up though.

You're welcome.

Sorry I missed it but left the house at 7am that morning, passed thru Enumclaw but did not stop at Crain's Corner, and rode the Norge over Cayuse Pass and up Stevens Canyon to Reflection Lake then hiked up to Pinnacle Peak. Went home via Rt. 7 so about a 200-mile loop not counting the 3-mile hike.

Here's me and my buddy on Chinook Pass. He's in the middle of a East Coast/West Coast adventure ride on his vintage RT--

And a little of the scenery we hiked up there to see--
