They are here
My order arrived stupid fast. Now I just have to figure something more elegant than duct tape to hang them on my 2009 R1200GS. Thanks...I am really eager to see how well they work.

I like to see the spacer, bolt and nyloc patterned after the "home depot" upgrades many of us in the user community have made to the original hardware.

The brackets are stainless steel, no paint. Price is for one bracket and hardware.

Is there a discount to buy a light together with a heavy duty bracket? I've got no need for the standard bracket if I order the heavy duty one.

Reluctant HD Bracket Purchaser
Sanjo,
I do appreciate your product. Good lights. However, I have just reluctanly purchased a set of HD brackets for an additional $46 due to the failures with the original bracket. I feel it is rather cheap, low and poor business practice to make your customers purchase (for such a large amount) a component which is to replace a part that fails from the first run. You could have at least discounted them for prior customers...... But, you're not. Your are trying to recoup all of your costs and making an additional profit on these brackets from prior customers. ![]() You stand behind your lights and replace any that are defective however, you ask for an additional 20% of the original purchase cost for the bracket, which too is failing. Good luck with your business. Your prices have now rocketed toward the sky and your components don't stand the abuse of ADVENTURE RIDING. I will take my business elseware when the next part fails. Thank You! Uller screwed with this post 09-14-2011 at 05:09 PM |

Have to agree with the previous post.
I purchased the Model 30s... thought the mounts were the weak link. Supplemented with nylon spacers and bigger bolts... then the failures started from inadequate mount rings. Sanjoh's projected prices for the HD mounts ($10-$20) are now set. $20 EACH plus shipping... to correct a design flaw. No discount for buyer's that have supported his "brilliant" idea. Not sure if new buyers get the improved mounts on their lights... I didn't even care to look. I sold my Model 30s two weeks ago for a $50 loss... I prefer to deal with vendor's I respect. I now have both generation Denali sets on my 04 Adv (props to http://www.mredsmoto.com/ for the 20% group buy discount.... http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productlist/790/ is high on my list... Adv Monster lights should be on Lady Gaga.

FOR SALE:
I have one GOOD, Tested, WORKING, three-posistion (H-M-L) light assembly and first model bracket. My other light "died" and I am not happy with the offered resolution of a 25% off coupon towards new lights and brackets. So, I am selling my remaining "good", tested working light -- three-posistion (H-M-L) sold pending payment.

Agree
I have not had my brackets fai,l ye,t on my model 40 lights but had problems with my model 30's getting out of sync. I was told by John that there was no way to guarantee that 2 lights could stay in sync. I was told that they were not meant to be used as a pair and that they were not really designed for motorcycles. I thought that was strange given that they were sold on a motorcycle website. I like the new 40's but would REALLY resent having to pay for an upgrade for a part that was not properly designed at the time of sale. If my mounts do fail, I would probably pay for the new mounts so as not to make my lights useless, but that would be the last time I bought anything from your company. Given how many have failed, it is clear that the mounts are not up to the task.
Come on John, you need to take better care of your customers or you will loose a lot of them! Ken |
