It is mounted to my top triple on the fork clamp bolt
Looks great, thanks for posting the pics.

How would you describe night time trail riding with the light? Do you have it wired to come on with high beam only or ?

Red prismatic lens on 10 watt led

Pics as promised, this is a 450 lumen, 10 watt, 3 leds. Please excuse the mess, we had a marathon wrenching session this weekend.

Running and brake only, aftermarket taillight on a Ninja 650rr

Running, Brake and led lights, tough to capture without overexposure.

Too the rear
Running and brake only

Running and brake with led light

You can see that I don't worry much about folks not seeing my brake lights

thanks, it comes on with the high beam.. well it is the hi beam.. I use a lo only HID, so this works out perfectly.. the HID stays on via relay with the LED on HI which gives nice coverage.

. I only had time for a spin in the yard.. Tonight or tomorrow I will strap my gopro on and take it down to the local trails for ya. I already know it is going to be a blast... no more riding past my light.

Very nice Sanjoh! You sent me the info on the prismatic red lens, but I don't see the light itself listed on your site. Where can I find it?

How is the Daylight performance? I think the LEDs always look brighter in the dark, but the LED turn signals and brakelights usually look dimmer to me in the sunlight.

I would love to have a brighter taillight on my XR650L, but only if it truly is brighter even in the daytime.

The daytime performance is great. The main reason I put it on is the aftermarket led tailightl is marginal and the "integrated" turn signals are a joke. Where would you mount the light on your XRL?

Pretty sure I am going to buy either a set of the model 44 floods or the model 60 floods and run them on my K1600GT engine bars.

Does anyone have experience with both models. I don't mind spending the extra cash for the model 60s but don't want to go completely overkill either.

Either way I'll probably use the remote dimmer with high beam overide.

I have a set of the 44's on my Tiger 800XC with the remote dimmer control. In normal mode which is probably 30-40% in the day they are noticable to fellow riders etc and in high beam they provide incredible brightness. I have not seen the 60's but the 44's will give your bike all the light it ever needed and then some. The stock lights look yellow and dull in comparison and they are actually pretty good lights by themselves. Pay the extra for the heavy duty brackets. They are double the thickness and I could see the regular ones being a little flimsy in comparison.

With either the 44's or 60's you will blind people when they are full power so be careful.

Great addition to my bike, pictures a dozen or so pages back on this thread. You can't go wrong with either.

sanjoh, I don't know how you guys stay in business.....I placed and order at 2:24 yesterday afternoon and it took you guys 13 minutes to ship it. That is simply not fast enough......

Of course, I'm kidding.....thanks for the tremendous service.

Hmm. Would heat build-up from a lack of airflow if mounting one to the rear be an issue? Or should it be fine since using the light dimmed as an aux running light would not cause enough heat to be an issue? I'm thinking I could drill a hole through part of my rear fender for one light and mount it flush with the fender. What do you think?

Oh, and I just got a new dslr in the mail yesterday. It takes much better pics than my old dslr in low light conditions, so maybe this weekend, I'll settle down and take some real pics of the lights to help show the perceived difference in light output

Less of an issue than mounting it forward, with a rearward facing light, the heatsink is now in the "front" which is a better scenario for cooling. I don't see it as an issue.
