I've figured out 2 possible mounting points on the Beo, just ordered a pair of 30's and a dimmer.

Tyring to install
I have searched the post, but can not find any info on the following:
1. I purchased the Model30 with heavy Duty brackets. 2. Also have the Crash Bar brackets. Trying to mount the Heavy duty bracket to the Crash Bar bracket, I found I had to remove the pivot mount portion from the original Model30 brackets in order to mount to the crash bar bracket! Is this correct & the Heavy Duty Light bracket doesn't come with the pivot portion? 3. Weather proof plugs. Anyone have a link to the Mfg on how these go together? Thanks In Advance to help an Old Guy

They are sold individually. When purchased with a light $10, otherwise $20.

Gosh that's a great looking bike! :)
More light output would be great, but I'm not sure how usable it would be. Even mounted as high as these are, there's a limit to how far down the road you can point them without potentially blinding someone as you go around a corner. If that car you blind as you go around a corner just happens to be your local LEO, you might get a performance award for how well your lights work. ;) While the Model 30 puts out less lumens than the other two lights, it puts them in a focused pattern where they can be used all the time. I use them a lot in the winter months in Seattle on my daily commute. The rain and wet pavement just soak up all available light on the freeway. The Model 30 helps and can be used all the time. IMHO only, I don't need the light along the side of the road as much. If I have an opportunity to use something like the Model 44 or 60, I'd just use the high beams on the bike which light up the road very well. Chris |

Another happy adventurer
"Thank you for your help with my questions on installing the 44s and the great service in getting them to me. I wanted to send you a few photos. The lights work really great and I am very happy with them! I used a BestRest light bar which allows you to use of the OEM Fog lights as you see - moves them closer together - and your lights on the vertical mount." ![]()

I've ordered and installed about 5 sets of these lights - not all on one bike... though I HAVE thought about it!
My recent purchase was a barely broken in FJR1300 and riding with the lights on my Strom is amazing, I knew I had to have them on the FJR. Unfortunately there isn't much option for 'where' to install them. I may look at mounting another set under the mirrors. For now they're on the fender bolt. I have some 3M film in the garage and will cover the lenses with it soon before they get broken. Thanks again for a great product and the easiest install ever. We re-ran all the wiring on my friends Strom yesterday. He has the Denali D1's and there is so much wiring that isn't needed. I just ran to an Eastern Beaver PC-8 and used one of his simple push button switches on the fairing. Perfect. ![]() ![]() Thanks again Sanjoh! I've been running them since you came out with the 30's and happy to say I haven't experienced any issues. People driving towards me may not have experienced such joy .smurph

I'm still running the weak ones on my 01 ST1100, mostly as day time running lights. I have them spread pretty wide to help illuminate the (deer populated) shoulders when running back roads at night. Occasionally get a "flash" from an oncoming car even in the daytime. Tells me they work.
I'm careful to turn-em off at dusk when traveling main roads in traffic. They reflect really hard in other folks rear views, don't wanna blind anyone. The 44 I bought nearly a year ago is still setting in the box. Gotta do something with it one of these days.

You should just take them with you and install them on the road one of your cross-country trips. ![]() The 44s will get you noticed way more. Safe travels.

Hi John. Do you have any old mounts you could part with? With the issues I had with the original LED lights I bought, they spent most of their lives on the garage shelf and are out of warranty I suppose. I need another mount as I wanted to try these on my street bike. I emailed your service guy, but hadn't heard back.
Thanks, Rick |
