Good to hear Bearcat

More tunnels, one of them

Arrived at the edge and it´s very foggy. Noticed already at the tunnel under the sea that there will be more fog norther I come.
I saw almost nothing when riding, open the visor on the helmet and instead I felt something salty in my eyes. Noticed when stoped that there was someting white on my luggage to.

Inside the building

Behind the buikding

The symbol for the North Capes latitude and longitude

Fog out to the Barenth sea. If you wait a while the weather can change in a moment and you can watch out over the sea. Feeling end of the world becomes, powerful felling.

Back at the parkingplace. Only ten minutes at the edge, it´s a new recordtime for me. Well, I have seen the most of it before, been here with motorcycles many times.

About 25kms from the cape, my overnigt at the camping.

Tent ready. Little bit freezing, It´s not cold and freeseing is mostly because sitting still on the Z. After a I´m varm again.

Not much to do at the campside. Walk around at the area and of course look at the motocycles passing.

Camping from the road.

Probably part from the old road

On the road motorcycles passing. I love to listen...

Morning and little bit cold. No sun wherever I turn my head. Make some coffe, take a short walk, pack and turn Zoomer south.

Few kilometers and turn for a short visit in Honningsvåg. It´s early morning and the town has not wake up yet.

outisde the hotel(hotel at other side) as usual, lot of motorcycles parked.

BMW club from Russia on tour and parked at the hotel. Like very much this GS.

Most of the BMW:s was 1200LT and most of them painted......

Leaving Honningsvåg.

Soon have to pay again for the tunnel. First over the bridge.

It´s expensive to visit the cape. Tunnel 70NOK, cape 235NOK and 70NOK again for the tunnel. Luckely I´m not with a family and with a caravan.

Filling up just before the tunnel under the sea.

In the tunnel and engine is turned of. Dropping down in to the tunnel 230 meters under the sea. Speedo
shows only up to 60 kms/hour and no connection with GPS, but i think I got topspeed about one thousand kms/hour.

Landscape little bit more open a while.

It takes few years to shape the rocks like that.

Stop sometimes and take a look of the views

More stops

Have now passed Olderjord and turned west on road E6, next Alta.

First part of the road is mountainroad, it means long straights for me and Z

Have passed Alta and take a brake. My back is bad and I have forgott the Voltaren medicine at home. Have to change sittingposition all the time, sometimes I sit on Z in very strange position.
Nearest way home is to make turn south at Alta. I stod a long time there and tried to make a decision which way to go. Rode west without stopping so far so it was to late to turn back.

Fishingboat coming in.

Camping at Langefjordbotten. Have overnight there many times before. This time I pass it.

Up again.

Overnight on camping just before Storslett.

Not much to do here. Walk, some beers, cook and some more beers before sleep.

Once again your adventures have me sticking to the computer.
You live in a very beautiful place.

Thanks for showing me some places I will never get to see in person!

Cheers!

Cheers Cross

Morning and a walk in the area. Now i notice that there are nice views from the camping. Sometimes have to just stay still and look around.

Todays ride is to Muonio in Finland. Muonio is bordering Sweden. 367 kms ride and only one turn

On road and sun tries to shows his best.

There on other side I have to go. So near but so far away. Fjord and 45 minutes ride to get there

Stop and enjoy the views a while.

The fjord on the GPS.

On way to Skibotten. Suddenly very strong wind. Strange, only at this place and I have to stop and......just stay a while in the wind.

At Skibotten I have turned from road E6 to road Kilpisjärvi.

Break. My back is killing me. I lay down on a bench for a while and it helps a while.

First part on road the Kilåisjärviroad is a nice mountainclimb. Z have to give his best.

Bording Finland

Warf whre a boat takes to place where Finland, Sweden and Norway is connect. It´s just a marked with a stone. Nothing for me to see.

Long straights to do.

At Kilpisfärvi I bought some bread. Stop for a late lunch between a rapid.

After lunch, more long straights to do.

At Karesuando over the bridge for a short visit in Sweden and back to Finland.

VOLTAREN! Now changing sitposition don¨t help. Middle of nowhere a friend of mine have parked his car. He stoped me when he saw a Zoomer middle of nowhere road and assume that no one else.....
I got his Voltaren with me and my pain muscle was much better

Camping Muonio.

Same here as in Ivalo, tent 16 euro and this cottage 19 euro. Cheap! This time I´m not freezing and the cottage is placed beautiful near the rapid. Beer and watch out over the....

Best weather on the whole trip. Enjoy sitting down time to time on a stone and just watch among others the fishing.

Last day...

Morning and sun shines from the cottageterrace.

On the road again. Damn roadjoints in Finland, every few meters. Sometimes so bad and they feels on a slow moped with small tires..

Fishingboats waiting.

Lot of reindeers in the area. No risk with a Zoomer.

Time to turn to Sweden. First coffe and a finnish "munkki". Borrow parking from the big guys.

Border Pajala and Sweden.

Pajalabridge

Break and rest my back. Voltaren has helped me forward, but have sometimes to straight out. It´s also strange nice feeling to lay down on a bench with helmet on and close eyes.

Just before Överkalix last filling up.

Passing Holgers tractormuseum at Svartby. No time to stop.

Soon home. Stop at Töre for a icecream, same time ponder over the done trip.

Always the road from Töre and home is little bit creepy.

A bit of the old europeroad. Haven´t drive here in "hundred" years. It´s a road for bicycles now. and trees has grown over the road.

Home. Z has as usual done a good job and earn his North Cape sticker.

I vote this RR the best scenery thread ever , and on a 50cc scooter you had to go slow enough to take it all in .

Thanks for taking us along .
